New life for tyres - this is our core business. We have been producing quality tyre retreading materials since 1965. Our production base is in Geretsberg in Upper Austria. There are two business with their sales divisions on the site: Retreading Materials and Tyre Compounds, ERGOLASTEC and FIBERLASTEC

Our historic roots go back to 1947, the year in which two families set up the company in Waldkraiburg. Still a family-owned company to this day, KRAIBURG is setting the pace in the modern-day rubber industry - with 12 production sites in eight countries and a worldwide workforce of over 1,700 employees. KRAIBURG Austria is an independent company belonging to the KRAIBURG Group. The largest of the two business and sales divisions forms the focal point for the operations of the Group in all tyre applications and related business segments.

We have been concentrating since 1965 on the development, manufacture and marketing of semi-finished and finished products for the tyre industry and, since 2006, also on earth mover applications. Whether mould cure or precure retreads, whether on asphalt, scree, gravel or sand, whether for use on cars, trucks, industrial vehicles or earth movers – we have the right tread pattern for every application and the optimum compound in our broad product range.

Our company is certified as conforming to the international quality management standard ISO 9001. This means that we are committed to the following quality and performance requirements:

Quality products for mould cure and precure retreading
Advice and support for customers with their quality control schemes
Development work with a view to the continuous improvement of products and processes for retreading
Package of services for the planning, purchasing and installation of retreading facilities including training of customers' staff
Consultancy and training programmes for retreading companies
Disposal concepts for rubber dust and manufacturing waste

These services are designed to sustain and guarantee the quality of the retreads, and they help our customers to increase the productivity and economic efficiency of their businesses.

In addition to our high standards of quality and service, we are proud of our green credentials. 40,000 tonnes of scrap rubber are recycled every year, for example. Rubber dust and vulcanised rubber waste are converted into new products at our sister plant in Tittmoning in Upper Bavaria.
